How the marketplace works, step by step. Every answer here describes what the app actually does.
Posting a listing
Tap Post, pick the closest category, describe the item, add the specifics (brand, condition and the rest), photographs, a price and the area.
Listings publish immediately. A held listing (after reports) is reviewed by a person.
Edit, pause, bump or promote a listing from your dashboard.
Messaging and calls
Message a seller from any listing. Replies arrive live, with sound; you can reply to a specific message.
Call in-app over your internet connection. Call waiting and merging can be switched in How buyers reach you under Settings.
Numbers are never shown unless the seller chooses a visibility level that shows them.
Escrow — protected payments
Tap Use escrow on a listing. The payment is held by ConnectAndBuy until you confirm you received the item.
If something is wrong, open a dispute from the order before confirming — the money stays held.
Card and bank payments switch on when the payment provider is connected; bank transfer is available where the operator has enabled it.
Spotlights and promotions
Featured, Bump and Spotlight are paid placements. Prices are shown before you confirm, and every placement is labelled SPONSORED.
Spotlights are moderated before they go live and can be reported by anyone.
Saved, alerts and requests
The heart saves a listing to your dashboard. Tell me about new ones on a search creates an alert.
Cannot find it? Post what you need and sellers make offers on the Wanted board.
Reports and moderation
Every listing, seller, Spotlight and community post has a report control. Repeated valid reports hold content automatically until a moderator reviews it.
